What we seek
Language – We accept contributions in English at this time. ಕನ್ನಡ ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ಬರಲಿದೆ!
Length–We don’t specify a specific length for contributions, but it would be great if you would keep it in the range of a minimum of 300 words, maximum 1000.
Originality–We ask that your contribution be yours and yours alone. Taking credit for someone else’s work is ethically, morally and legally wrong – just put yourself in the other person’s shoes! We check for originality and if there are copyright infringements you are responsible for any and all consequences.
References – If you quote someone or cite a statistic, link or give credit to your source.
Editing–We do reserve the right to edit submissions as needed, without altering content. This includes the alteration of title to be more search-friendly.
Graphics–If you are providing photos or other graphics to go along with your content, please provide them separately in addition to showing where they are to be placed within your content.When sending images, save your photos as high-resolution scans. Be sure to scan them at 300 dpi
Proofreading and spellchecking–Please proofread and spellcheck your posts. We will do a quick proofread before a post goes live, but we may not catch everything. Best to have it “perfect” before sending to us.
Bio and picture–If you are a new contributor, please provide us with a picture of yourself and a brief bio. If you would like us to include your social media links, please provide those as well.
Do not include advertisements of any kind. We will reject all submissions that contain advertising or sponsored links intended to promote a company’s products or services.
By submitting material to us, you grant Bengaluru.com use of the material without time limitation, including the right to use your name in connection with any such use. We reserve the right to modify, reproduce and distribute your material in any medium (now or hereafter existing) and in any manner or appropriate place.
By submitting material to us, you represent and warrant that you have full authority to grant the rights set forth above and that your material will not, in whole or in part, infringe the intellectual property rights, rights of privacy or publicity, or any other rights of any third party. You further represent and warrant that you have attained the legal age of majority. If you’re a minor under the law , your parent or guardian must submit on your behalf.
We may contact you via phone, email or mail regarding your submission. Although we may not be able to respond to every inquiry or feedback, we will always let you know if we published your submission.
